Hutton Honors College Great Room

Join us for free coffee and a chance to learn from HHC alums! Each month there will be a new theme related to college life and the independence and responsibilities that go along with it.

This week, we will focus on the theme of “What comes next?” as we discuss life after graduation. Representatives from MoneySmarts will be on hand to discuss budgets, savings and student loans. We will also be joined by two HHC alums, Laura Walter and Nic Bussberg, who will be available to share their experiences and insights.  Drop in any time to ask your questions. Student leaders and Hutton advisors will also be on hand to answer questions and provide guidance.

Laura Walter graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree in international studies and religious studies. Through a connection in her network, she interviewed and accepted a position within the Kelley School of Business. She currently serves as a program manager for the Executive Degree Programs Office. In this role, she works with 12 corporate-sponsored, university partner, and open enrollment programs at the graduate level.

Nic Bussberg graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor's degree in biology and went on to receive an M.S. in Environmental Science from IU SPEA. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Statistics at IU. While a graduate student, Nic worked in the Masters Program Office in SPEA, which exposed him to the recruitment and admissions process at a top graduate program. He has also had many research experiences working with geology, informatics, statistics, public health, sociology, and geography researchers.
