Obese, drunk, and broke, the aging knight sends identical love letters to two wealthy—and married—women at the same time. Wow, was that dumb. An elaborate reprisal ends with Falstaff learning his lesson, expressed through the famous final fugue “Tutto nel mondo è burla”— “All the World is a Joke.” And after this past year, full of experiences like no other, surely it must be. Perhaps we have something to learn from The Fool after all. Based on Shakespeare’s comedy The Merry Wives of Windsor. IU Opera and Ballet Theater is offering HHC students a special, reduced ticket price of $10 to selected performances of Falstaff at the Musical Arts Center (MAC). The discount can be applied to one ticket per person. Vouchers for this performance are good for open seating in the second and third balconies.
Vouchers are available for pick up weekdays, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. in the Hutton Honors College, Room 115 B. To purchase the special price ticket, take the voucher to the MAC Ticket Office during box office hours, 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., weekdays, to purchase your ticket(s). There is a limited number of vouchers available through this program, so we encourage you to act promptly. Vouchers can be used ONLY for the performance of the date on the voucher. PLEASE NOTE: THE VOUCHER DOES NOT GUARANTEE TICKET AVAILABILITY; IT MEANS YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO PURCHASE A TICKET AT THE REDUCED PRICE OF $10.
