Hutton offers opportunities for me to expand my academic career through the honors courses offered that are outside of my own field of study. I am able to engage with like-minded instructors and peers and feel a sense of belonging within a smaller community.

Excellent opportunities for students to explore unique topics
Hutton's HON-H seminars offer engaging topics, excellent instructors, and a chance for honors students unique academic experiences unlike any others at IU Bloomington.
Hutton students are genuinely and deeply curious about the world—they really want to learn for the sake of learning— and in my experience, Hutton students have always been game for joining me on new scholarly adventures. I love the small size of Hutton’s classes, which allows for us to create a community and really get to know and learn about each other. Our class discussions are consistently high-level, and I am constantly impressed by the caliber of students that Hutton attracts. We really push each other to think in new and complex ways.
